About The Position

The Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) seek an experienced neurosurgeon to join their Neurosurgery team, which is soon to become a Department. The ideal candidate will be board-eligible or certified and demonstrate excellence in a wide array of neurosurgical procedures, including complex spine surgery, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, complex pain management, spine trauma, and/or minimally invasive spinal surgery. Essential qualities for this role include exceptional teamwork, program development capabilities, and strong teaching and mentorship abilities. The position offers an appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, with the level determined by experience, training, achievements, and teaching activities. BIDMC, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, provides a supportive academic environment. It is also a key part of a collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and HMFP to create New England's only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital, offering unique opportunities for surgical specialists to contribute to DFCI's renowned cancer care.
