The Neuroscience Triage Scheduling Coordinator plays an important role in helping patients get connected to the right Neuroscience Care at the right time! In this work-from-home position, you’ll review neurology referrals and clinical information, respond to patient questions from department, clinical associates, and providers through CareConnect messaging, Teams, and/or emails, and use your clinical knowledge to determine the appropriate specialty and scheduling pathway. You’ll partner closely with Providers and Scheduling Teams while helping ensure patients receive timely, coordinated care. We’re looking for an experienced LPN or RN with a strong Neurology or Neuroscience background who is comfortable applying independent clinical judgment in a non-bedside environment. The ideal candidate understands neurological diagnoses and can independently review clinical information and testing to help determine whether a patient should be seen by General Neurology or a specialty area such as Cognitive conditions, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromuscular conditions. Success in this role requires strong critical-thinking, communication, organization, and follow-through skills in a fast-paced environment supporting a high volume of referrals. This is a great opportunity for a clinical professional who wants to continue using their nursing expertise while transitioning away from direct patient care. You’ll join a collaborative, patient-focused team that works closely with Providers, holds daily huddles, and prioritizes keeping patients informed throughout the scheduling process. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the patient experience across OhioHealth Neuroscience.
