About The Position

This PRN role will be day-shift working Monday – Friday located in Falls Church, VA. The Neuroscience Grant Funded Intern supports Inova's mission by gaining work experience in one's field and working on a grant funded research project with neurosurgery. Requirements

• Current student or recent graduate of an accredited associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience analyzing data and writing scientific paper preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gains work experience within one's field within specific areas in Inova.
• Takes direction in a positive manner.
• Provides technical and/or analytic feedback and assessments.
• Serves as project assistant or lead for specific initiatives across Inova Health System.
• Able to interact effectively with management, staff and other personnel, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
• Provides expertise within field of specialty and/or study. Increases knowledge of area of study and or specialty.
• Demonstrates acquisition and exercise of new skills.
• Displays progress in level of functionality.
• Communicates effectively with mentor(s) and over time, demonstrates greater independence and decision making ability.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
