About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Neuropsychologist (PsyD or PhD) to join our growing Neurology department in Tinley Park, IL. This role involves conducting outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for adults (18+), including interviews, testing, reporting, and feedback. The Neuropsychologist will assess patients referred within Northwestern Medicine for diverse neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions, evaluate neurocognitive symptoms and concerns, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties for patient care. The position also includes providing consultation to physicians, providers, therapists, and staff, supervising psychometrists, students, residents, and fellows, and communicating findings with clinicians and families as appropriate. Participation in ongoing education, meetings, and professional development activities, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies, are also key responsibilities. The role requires exercising independent judgment in handling sensitive information and contributing to program development and promoting effective use of psychological services.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a doctoral degree program in professional psychology, e.g. PhD, PsyD, granted from a training program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology accredited by the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology resulting in eligibility for board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
  • Equivalent accreditations will be considered (e.g. Canadian Psychological Association and British Psychological Society).

  • Board certification by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN).
