About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Neuropsychologist (PsyD or PhD) to join our growing Neurology department in Tinley Park, IL. This role involves conducting outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for adults (18+), assessing patients referred for diverse neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions, and evaluating neurocognitive symptoms. The Neuropsychologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide consultations, supervise trainees, and contribute to program development.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a doctoral degree program in professional psychology, e.g. PhD, PsyD, granted from a training program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology accredited by the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology resulting in eligibility for board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
  • Equivalent accreditations will be considered (e.g. Canadian Psychological Association and British Psychological Society).

  • Board certification by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for adults (18+), including interviews, testing, reporting, and feedback
  • Assess patients referred within Northwestern Medicine for diverse neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions
  • Evaluate neurocognitive symptoms and concerns
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties for patient care
  • Provide consultation to physicians, providers, therapists, and staff
  • Supervise psychometrists, students, residents, and fellows
  • Communicate findings with clinicians and families as appropriate
  • Participate in ongoing education, meetings, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with confidentiality policies
  • Exercise independent judgment in handling sensitive information
  • Contribute to program development and promote effective use of psychological services
