About The Position

We are seeking Neuropsychologists to provide assessment and evaluation services to our contracted skilled nursing facilities across CA, including Petaluma, California. At EMH, we value Neuropsychologists who are excellent communicators, passionate about clinical care with an underserved population, enjoy working in a medical milieu, and who are interested in the opportunity to conduct forensic mental health evaluations. We believe that Neuropsychologists who thrive at EMH enjoy a balance between working independently while also having the background support of the office staff and clinical support from well-trained colleagues. The ideal candidate is well versed in the assessment of age-related neurocognitive disorders as well as common medical conditions that affect cognition and behavior. They are flexible in their approach, diligent in their documentation, and can work collaboratively with others within a medical setting.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD) in Clinical Psychology
  • Current and valid California state license as a Psychologist
  • Medicare Provider eligibility
  • Ability to be placed on 3rd party insurer panels
  • Telehealth experience and/or willingness to learn and utilize modality

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and evaluation services to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities within assigned regions.
  • Conduct outpatient evaluations depending on proximity to the home office.
  • Complete initial evaluations and more detailed neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Address common referral questions including formulation of differential diagnosis, various capacity issues, and/or discharge planning.
  • Provide curbside consultations to facility staff.
  • Provide treatment planning recommendations.
  • Conduct staff education (e.g., facility inservices).
  • Review case-related records for forensic evaluations.
  • Administer neuropsychological tests to litigants.
  • Serve as the primary evaluator/reviewer on a forensic mental health matter.
  • Testify in various settings, including depositions, arbitrations/mediations, and court.
