Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. A leader in acute inpatient rehabilitation on Long Island, St. Charles Campus provides specialized care for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries. Our psychology department is comprised of a supportive and collegial team of neuropsychologists, health psychologists, and clinical psychologists, as well as support staff that manages insurance and billing.

Requirements

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology (clinical psychology or neuropsychology)
Internship training and completion of a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
Licensure in NYS as a psychologist

Responsibilities

Provision of neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric or adult populations with a wide range of neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders in the outpatient division of our hospital
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team that includes neurologists, physiatrists, and physical, occupational, and speech/language therapists
Opportunity to provide brief cognitive and behavioral screenings and to offer brief therapeutic interventions on the inpatient rehabilitation units
