Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders. Records and identifies various Neurophysiology data in various settings. After supervised orientation: obtains patient history, attaches patient electrodes and operates Neurophysiology equipment, during operation of equipment observe studies, analyzes wave graphs, makes documentations to indicate disorders, artifact, and responsible for settings adjustments. Cares for all age groups, sets-up and prepares patients for Neurophysiology studies, completes post study paperwork used to maintain patients files. Adheres to hospital / departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attends and participates in educational, departmental, and required meetings. Observes Neurophysiology data, and is willing to acquire new skills under direction of physicians, Nurse practitioner, manager, and technologists, including not limited to Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Participates in maintaining equipment and reports needed repairs to manager. Maintains clean environment including but not limited to equipment and workspaces.
