About The Position
Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their growing Neurology team. This role is ideal for someone who loves learning, thinking critically, and participating in advanced patient care. PSVSE offers advanced emergency and specialty care in a collaborative and supportive setting that emphasizes learning and teamwork. The Neurology department collaborates with a board-certified neurologist/neurosurgeon and uses advanced imaging like MRI and CT for diagnosing and treating complex medical and surgical cases. As a Neurology Veterinary Assistant, you will be crucial in supporting patient care, procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia preparation, and client communication throughout the patient's journey. This position offers a chance to gain experience in specialty medicine within a dynamic hospital environment.
Requirements
- Veterinary Assistant experience required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for learning and growing within specialty medicine
Nice To Haves
- Specialty or emergency experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care
- Support MRI and CT imaging workflows
- Assist with anesthesia preparation and patient monitoring
- Help maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets
- Provide compassionate client communication and patient updates
- Work closely with Neurology, ER, and Specialty teams to support case flow and patient care
