Neurology Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology for a Locum Tenens position in Wilmington, NC. This is an inpatient role within a 10-bed Neuro ICU, focusing on clinical coverage only. The assignment is ongoing, starting as soon as possible, and requires coverage for 12-hour shifts, either 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. The reason for coverage is a scheduling need. The agency will cover travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. The average daily patient volume is 10, with rounding responsibilities for assigned patients. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
- Licensed in NC or Universal License (IMLC)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Full-time locums Neurocritical Care APP experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide neurocritical care coverage for a 10-bed Neuro ICU
- Work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
- Manage assigned patients as part of rounding responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system
