About The Position

A respected healthcare facility in Charleston is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Neurologist (MD/DO) to provide high-quality inpatient and/or outpatient neurological care. Requirements

MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Neurology
Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
Current DEA registration
Strong diagnostic, consultative, and clinical management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with epilepsy cases
Experience with rounding on inpatients, ICU, NICU, ER, and other consults
Willingness to round with residents

Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, movement disorders, neuropathies, headaches, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Provide inpatient consults, rounds, and follow-up care for hospitalized neurology patients.
Conduct outpatient clinic visits, evaluations, and long-term management plans.
Interpret neurological diagnostics such as EEG, EMG, CT, MRI, and lumbar puncture results.
Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency physicians, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation teams.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols and regulatory standards.
Deliver patient-centered care with strong communication and clinical judgment.
