About The Position
A respected healthcare facility in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Hospitalist (MD/DO) to provide high-quality inpatient care within a well-supported hospital medicine program. Requirements
- MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA registration
- Prior inpatient hospitalist experience required
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Must be board-certified
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for adult patients.
- Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary teams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
- Respond to rapid responses and codes (depending on facility requirements).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
- Deliver patient-centered care with strong communication and clinical judgment.
