About The Position

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Neurohospitalist (Inpatient Consult Neurologist) for a PRN fill-in employment model. The consult NeuroHospitalist Service provides support for emergency care (Level II Trauma Center), certified comprehensive stroke center care, and inpatient care. The position involves prescheduled 24-hour shifts, with 12 hours onsite and 12 hours offsite remote call. The service is covered by two neurologists at a time. The role utilizes the system-wide EPIC EMR and Ceribell EEG system. Stroke coordinators provide process support, and there is a separate Neuro-ICU with its own physician coverage. The role requires EEG reads, including continuous monitoring, and occasional lumbar punctures. The position is part of a physician-led medical group with a collegial relationship with hospital administration.

Requirements

PRN fill-in employment model.
Prescheduled for mutually agreeable 24 hour shifts - 12 hours onsite and 12 hours offsite remote call.
Two Neurologists cover at a time.
System-wide EPIC EMR, Ceribell EEG system.
Stroke coordinators are engaged with the NeuroHospitalist Service and provide process support.
EEG reads inc. continuous monitoring (2-7 combined daily).
Lumbar Punctures (occasional though necessary/labs first).
Strong inpatient Medical Staff culture and processes (ED, Hospitalist Service, Radiology/IR, Specialty Care...)
Physician-led medical group and collegial relationship with hospital administration.
Malpractice coverage with tail provided.
Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
