About The Position

Logan Health is seeking an energetic and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant committed to clinical excellence to join our growing Neurohospitalist program. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced Neurohospitalists in a primarily inpatient setting with no call responsibilities, a flexible schedule, and extensive mentorship and training. The role involves providing advanced neurological care across Northwest Montana while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in the heart of the Flathead Valley. The practice is mainly hospital-based with minimal follow-up clinic responsibilities, focusing on consults for the Emergency Department, ICU, hospitalist services, and a regional referral network. The APP will participate in care across Logan Health Medical Center and 11 rural Montana telestroke sites, responding to CODE STROKE activations as part of a coordinated multidisciplinary stroke team. There are opportunities for professional development, including on-the-job training, working with students, research, and exposure to telestroke services and acute stroke management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced neurological care across Northwest Montana.
  • Work alongside experienced Neurohospitalists in a primarily inpatient setting.
  • Provide consult-focused service supporting the Emergency Department, ICU, hospitalist services, and regional referral network.
  • Participate in care across Logan Health Medical Center and 11 rural Montana telestroke sites.
  • Respond to CODE STROKE activations as part of a coordinated multidisciplinary stroke team.
  • Participate in daily inpatient neurology consults and rounding.
  • Conduct 1-2 clinic half-days weekly focused on hospital follow-up patients.
  • Manage an average of 8-20 patient encounters per day.
