About The Position

The Neuro diagnostics Tech performs a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures to support the evaluation and treatment of patients across the lifespan, including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Under the supervision of neurodiagnostic leadership, this role conducts electroencephalograms (EEG), otoacoustic emissions, evoked potentials, and related studies in both routine and critical care settings. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams, the Neuro diagnostics Tech contributes to accurate diagnosis, patient safety, and high-quality neurological care through precise testing, thorough documentation, and consistent adherence to clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited END technology program or equivalent formal training is recommended.
  • 1 year experience in neurodiagnostic testing with above registration OR 1 year experience in neurodiagnostic testing at Trinity with on the job training in NCS and/or evoked potentials; Or 2 years’ experience in neurodiagnostic testing including NCS and/or IOM testing.
  • PC experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Registration in EEG and/or IOM or EP by ABRET is recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex EEGs, otoacoustic emissions testing, nerve conduction studies, and evoked potential procedures following established protocols.
  • Assist with intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring by preparing equipment, acquiring continuous data, and communicating relevant findings to clinical teams.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by obtaining histories, explaining testing processes, and positioning patients to support comfort and accurate results.
  • Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of neurodiagnostic equipment, reporting issues promptly to supervisory staff.
  • Review and document test data accurately in the electronic record system and support physicians in accessing and interpreting results.
  • Maintain a safe testing environment by following infection-prevention practices, electrical safety procedures, and departmental quality standards.
