Neurodiagnostic Trainee - EEG Nebraska Medicine is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Neurodiagnostic/EEG Trainee! Start your career in Neurodiagnostics with our comprehensive one-year EEG Trainee program. This paid position blends online coursework through ASET with hands-on clinical training, giving you the skills needed to become a Registered EEG Technologist. Over the course of the program, you will complete 100 EEGs and work toward achieving key competencies. After approximately 6 months, you’ll transition from Trainee to Technologist, gaining independence in your role while continuing to learn and grow. Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours/week Benefits eligible Flexibility required for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts during the first 6 months. Requirements

  • 6 months of clinical experience OR graduate of a related degree program required.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital patient monitoring experience preferred.
  • College courses in physiology, anatomy, and/or related subjects preferred.
  • Associated of Science degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of allied health/technology preferred.
  • Experience with nursing call system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This role emphasizes participation in neurodiagnostic learning by aligning academic instruction with clinical skill development, setting daily educational objectives, and meeting criteria for role advancement.
  • Managing equipment and supplies to support efficient operations.
  • Maintaining a clean environment.
  • Coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and a focus on patient care is essential, avoiding distractions during shifts.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to support safety, quality, and operational needs.
