About The Position

This role performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results. They validate physician orders and document patient and family histories, integrating the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations. The technologist also notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs and maintains supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient EEG studies, including: Routine EEG, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) for adult and neonatal patients, Ambulatory EEG
• Perform Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician directives
• Assist physicians during Electromyography (EMG) testing by operating equipment and monitoring patient data
• Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to all clinical standards
• Performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside.
• Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.
• Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.
• Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.
• Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.
• Maintains supplies.
