About The Position

A Neurophysiology trainee is an employee within the Mayo Clinic organization who has been identified as having the professional qualities, aptitude and learning skills required to pursue a Neurophysiology technology position. The incumbent is responsible for the observation and hands-on experience of Neurodiagnostic testings, and will perform testings with the mentorship and support of experienced technologists. This is an entry level position expected to transition into the Neuro Tech I position once requirements are met with a 2 year maximum training period to become registry eligible on any of the Neurophysiology modalities. Training on any of the following EMG/NCV, EEG, or Autonomic Testing.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support Certification (required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date) as well as maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency
• RNCST, REEGT, or CAP obtained within 24 months from date of hire

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree preferred
• Prior related healthcare experience preferred
• Current employee in the Mayo Clinic system preferred

Responsibilities
