About The Position

The Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford Hospital is expanding its EEG services as we develop into the highest-level Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. We are expanding our outpatient and inpatient services for people with seizures, including a program for surgical treatment of epilepsy. Our reputation for providing complex and innovative care to those in need is built on the foundation of excellence in patient care, teaching and research. The team is committed to creating an innovative patient centered delivery system that continuously improves quality care. The EEG Tech providers are part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers care for this complex population. We seek enthusiastic, motivated people to join the energetic learning and working environment in our EEG lab, where our focus is providing the most sophisticated care available, with a personal touch. Our team has experience training and educating technicians with no prior experience. We combine on-the-job-training with online curriculum and person-to-person review sessions to ensure people learn all the necessary skills to have confidence they are providing outstanding care. Our goal is that all our technologist become registered by ABRET, the national board for EEG technologists, and develops their job into a career!

Requirements

• Post high school degree preferred
• EEG experience preferred but not required
• Registered EEG technologists encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Routine EEGs
• Continuous inpatient EEGs
• Ambulatory outpatient EEGs
• Live time monitoring of patients for seizures
• Wada tests
• SPECT seizure imaging
