This role involves designing and executing area orientation and education for new staff, overseeing new employees’ orientation and training, and coordinating technical quality assurance activities. The position also involves coaching and facilitating the clinical advancement of students and staff, providing rotational shift coverage when needed, and performing all duties of an EEG Technologist II. The role supports personnel matters by developing and maintaining EEG Technologist Schedules, providing ongoing performance feedback, and addressing problems. It also involves interfacing with vendors for equipment purchases, ensuring equipment maintenance and function, and assisting with EEG Equipment maintenance and repairs. A key aspect is maintaining an effective training program for new EEG Technologists, designing and implementing continuing education sessions, and verifying technical competencies. The role ensures EEG labs are properly stocked, creates and maintains accreditation documentation, policy and procedure manuals, and safety protocols. The position assumes a lead role in triaging and prioritizing procedures during times of high demand and acuity, and compiles volume and statistics for the department. The role requires participation in a rotating schedule for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
