This role is responsible for monitoring patients and alerting staff to clinical seizures or other paroxysmal events. The Neurodiagnostic Assistant will communicate with patients and staff, document observations in the patient's electronic medical record (EMR), and complete hospital training for emergency protocols. They will also assist neurodiagnostic technologists with tasks such as restocking supplies and electrode removal, and perform procedures according to laboratory standards, implementing alternative methods and adjusting controls for optimal recordings. This includes recognizing and documenting artifact on EEG recordings, troubleshooting equipment issues, and communicating with relevant support teams.
