The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, avascular malformations, stroke interventions and sterile technique. This role also involves greeting patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, participating in room turnover, transporting patients, and assisting the Radiation Safety Officer with quality assurance of labs and radiation protective apparel. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.
