About The Position

This role is for a Neuro Endovascular Technologist in the Neuro BiPlane Department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is PRN (as needed) with call requirements and is scheduled for day shifts. The technologist will be responsible for leading real-time physiological monitoring, supporting surgical team decision-making with hemodynamic calculations and intra-procedure testing, preparing specialized equipment, maintaining a sterile field, managing room setup and infection control protocols, and providing patient education on post-procedure care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following credentials obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI), Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology (CCI), Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist (Florida Radiologic Technology).
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Prior experience in supporting Neuro Endovascular IR procedures.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).

Responsibilities

Lead real-time physiological monitoring by vigilantly tracking heart rhythms, pressures, and saturations, acting as the primary early-warning system for the surgical team.
Support high-stakes decision-making by accurately performing hemodynamic calculations and intra-procedure testing to provide physicians with the data they need to pivot mid-case.
Anticipate clinical needs by expertly preparing specialized equipment and maintaining a sterile field, ensuring the procedure flows seamlessly without a second of wasted time.
Safeguard the patient environment by managing room setup and infection control protocols, ensuring every sharp and reusable product is handled with the highest safety standards.
Empower patient recovery by providing clear, compassionate education on post-procedure care and site monitoring, giving patients the confidence to manage their health after they leave our care.
