About The Position

You will be part of Cisco Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) team. GVE is composed of highly motivated, talented, and customer-centric engineers and architects, focused on supporting Cisco SMB and Mid-Market Customers, along with providing support for aligned Partners. GVE operates as a global organization, offering the opportunity to build a broad human network beyond your immediate team. As a Networking Specialist Solution Engineer, you'll work closely with Cisco Partner Account Executives and Selective Partners in a pre-sales technical capacity, tackling complex challenges in designing, qualifying, and positioning Cisco's industry-leading solutions along with enabling our Partner Community on latest Cisco Solutions. With primary focus on Networking Architecture, the role requires you to provide both transactional and consultative selling along with collaborating across teams of Cisco Sellers & partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of presales experience in a technical role or technical sales experience
  • Proven customer-facing experience in presales or consulting
  • Strong knowledge and background in Networking products and technologies
  • Knowledge of and work experience with Enterprise Routing, Switching and Wireless technology
  • Ability to articulate and differentiate Cisco's Networking Portfolio

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Certifications like CCNA, CCNP(Enterprise), CCNP (Wireless).
  • Working towards any industry led certification.
  • Basic understanding of either of Cisco Collaboration, Security, CAI (Cloud and AI) solutions and/or Network Programmability will be added advantage.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor to customer and Selective Partners by showcasing expertise in Core Cisco Secure Networking portfolio including but not limited to Routing, Switching, WLAN & Security technologies.
  • Lead the technical sales process, designing and presenting relevant solutions based on identified requirements.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, enablement sessions, address complex product inquiries from customers & partners
  • Tasks like technical presentations, Solution Demos, Bill of Material Creation and providing technical proposals are standard for this position.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing technical insights and best practices to foster ongoing innovation.
  • Commit to continuous learning to stay current with emerging technologies and maintain relevant skill sets to support our customers and business objectives.
