About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Product Security Engineer to support its Product Security Organization team in Huntington Beach, CA, focusing on Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T). This role involves conducting Networking and Cyber Security research, supporting, leading, and developing software for new networking and cyber security concepts. These concepts span tactical mobile ad-hoc network protocols, sensor protocols, airborne network overlays, or network management technologies. The position requires maturing these concepts and software to prove feasibility, building prototypes to demonstrate capabilities, and testing/evaluating them in relevant environments. The successful candidate must understand and meet the requirements of management, peers, customers, and product security stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for working effectively in a dynamic team environment that bridges research and product teams. The role also involves facilitating the secure transition of technology from research to Boeing programs and external customers. Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and shell scripting is required, along with the ability to utilize software tools for programming. Experience with routing and transport protocols, network-oriented middleware, wireless and satellite networking systems, networking for embedded systems, tactical communications systems, network management, Quality of Service (QoS), and traffic engineering is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality implementation, testing, and documentation is key. Experience with developing hardware abstraction layer designs and firmware is also desirable. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, positive, enjoys research-oriented projects, and is challenged to learn new things.
