About The Position

Our Connected Aviation (CA) Airports Group provides hardware & systems to airports to support passenger processing. The Site Lead manages the technicians responsible for the testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of various platforms (hardware, software, operating systems, and systems tools). We are seeking a forward thinking, committed, and experienced airport / airline professional to join the team. Key responsibilities include working with airport partners and vendors, interfacing with various stakeholders, understanding and troubleshooting airport common use systems, and overseeing the operational satisfaction of our customers. This role is based on-site at O'hare International Airport in Chicago, IL and typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. Position may require atypical hours at times based on customer need.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • You will need to obtain and maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) badging and SIDA training. This includes Security Threat Assessment (STA) and a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for access to certain Federally regulated areas at multiple airports.
  • Experience in the Airport or Airline Industry Technical Field, two years of which are specific to CUTE (Commone Use Terminal Equipment) application software.
  • Experience with cultivating and maintaining client relationships with service providers, stakeholders, and key airport partners, ensuring communication, collaboration, and the delivery of services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary customer liaison with a variety of airlines and the Airport Authority; assure continual compliance of service level performance and reporting, ensuring local procedures are in compliance.
  • Review technical and customer support specifications and provide recommendations on best value to meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for overall local network, server and desktop hardware maintenance, system support and necessary escalation of service issues.
  • Maintain regular progress communication with the Airport Authority and take any remedial action for deficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain on-site policies and procedures.
  • Interface with senior management to communicate status of projects.
  • Monitor and ensure services align with SLAs.
  • Provide consultation and advice to system and network administration in the Common Use platform in the airport.
  • Ensure that all site technicians are trained & certified prior to start of service.
  • Maintain on-site employee relations including, but not limited to, scheduling, day-off planning, hiring, performance management, disciplining, and dismissal.
