About The Position

The Network Technician will assist with the management, coordination and maintenance of the hardware, software, and network systems within the District, working under the direction of the Technology/Media Director.

Requirements

Excellent communication, organization and project management skills, including the ability to follow through completion on multiple simultaneous tasks
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including a high degree of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others

Nice To Haves

College or technical training in computers/technology or equivalent experience will be considered
Experience and proficiency with school related technology and network systems

Responsibilities

Assist with managing the district's information systems including network installations, upgrades and maintenance of all hardware and software
Assist the receiving, distribution, and installation of new hardware/software as various upgrades become necessary
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems
Respond to and evaluate tech support requests
Assist with the planning and implementation of emerging technologies
Maintain core network technologies and equipment
Communicate effectively with all district stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service
Relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community
Establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District
Recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage
