About The Position

ISHPI is seeking an on-site Network Technician to support Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role supports and manages C5ISC systems and may involve system, software, hardware, network, test, and electronic engineering, as well as technical writing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five consecutive years of experience performing network support.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active DoD government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Network support experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide management, supervision, coordination, support, and monitoring for a project team.
• Perform systems-related duties and provide technical guidance, direction, or training across multiple functional areas.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, project estimation and budgeting, technical reviews, and presentations.
• Manage, track, control, and report project performance, including technical, financial, contractual, administrative, logistical, subcontractor, and vendor matters.
• Manage, coordinate, supervise, support, or perform project and technical writing activities.
• Support, lead, or oversee development of systems requirements, designs, documentation, algorithms, software implementation, hardware layout, integration, installation, analysis, and peripheral interfaces.
• Generate or oversee test and evaluation plans, and execute them when necessary.
• Use independent judgment and analytical skills to solve complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
• Document and communicate results to Government representatives at all levels.
