About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a Network and Systems Engineer to build, automate, and scale critical infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. The role implements, automates, and standardizes enterprise network and systems infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-premises environments. It uses Infrastructure as Code and automation tools to create repeatable platforms, reduce configuration drift, and maintain reliable systems. The engineer translates high-level strategic architectures into production-ready implementations with precision and minimal oversight. The position also troubleshoots complex distributed environments using diagnostic tools and log analysis, supports system resiliency, and promotes consistent architectural patterns, compliance, and documentation across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with enterprise networking concepts, including routing, switching, subnets, firewalls, and segmentation.
  • Experience developing automation and configuration management solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python.
  • Experience deploying, managing, and maintaining workloads across cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience supporting and integrating CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-tiered systems using packet-capture tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump, as well as centralized log analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret strategic architectural designs and turn them into standardized, production-ready implementations with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, Agile teams while enforcing architectural standards, configuration consistency, and documentation baselines.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with container orchestration and microservices architectures such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and defensive cyber operations principles.
  • Ability to identify and remediate configuration drift across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator, RHCSA, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.

Responsibilities
