About The Position

Join a mission-critical team supporting flight test operations. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering reliable data acquisition, instrumentation, and flightline support for advanced test missions. Working on-site with Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders, you will configure data systems, monitor mission launch and recovery, troubleshoot complex instrumentation systems, and ensure the integrity of mission-critical data. This role blends hands-on engineering with consulting impact. You will document procedures, present findings to stakeholders, and contribute to reusable templates and best practices that strengthen our delivery across defense programs. The position is ideal for a cleared engineering professional who thrives in fast-paced flight test environments and values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You must be willing to work at Yuma, Arizona A CURRENT TS/SCI IS REQUIRED -eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) read-in

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Aeronautical preferred).
  • Hands-on expertise with instrumentation, data acquisition, or flight test technologies.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with proven stakeholder management experience.
  • Disciplined approach to documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Willingness to support very infrequent travel as required by mission needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform discovery, analysis, and configuration activities across assigned instrumentation scope, including load data acquisition programming and data system status display development.
  • Monitor test mission launch and recovery operations; document and disposition data anomalies to maintain mission data integrity.
  • Provide guidance and hands-on support to flightline operations, including writing and revising flightline operations procedures.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation systems and review collected data to validate accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation by tracking down hardware or data-flow issues and applying fixes to keep systems healthy.
  • Manage data workflows by loading mission programs, watching launch and recovery, and keeping real-time system displays on track.
