About The Position

We are seeking a DoD Secret Cleared Network Systems Administrator to provide Tier III operational support for the J63H Platform Services environment. This role involves supporting server infrastructure, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), storage systems, backup and recovery services, and enterprise application environments in Hampton Roads, VA. The administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing Windows-based server and network systems critical to DoD operations. The position requires support for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware virtualization, storage systems, backup solutions, and enterprise IT services, while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF controls, STIGs, and IAVAs. Collaboration with cybersecurity, network operations, and engineering teams is essential for maintaining system availability, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of system administration experience.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL administration and backups.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
• DoD 8140/8570 certification (IAT Level II minimum).
• Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments and enterprise services.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and DFS.
• Perform server deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Support VMware vSphere and VDI environments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Support SAN storage and backup/recovery operations.
• Maintain compliance with RMF, STIG, ACAS, and IAVA requirements.
• Support disaster recovery and continuity of operations activities.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests using ITSM tools.
