About The Position

The Network Systems Administrator ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems in a manner consistent with Fourteen Foods’ mission and core values. This role assists the Network Security Engineer in maintaining Fourteen Foods’ network and network security infrastructure. The administrator also supports the Applications and Operational Platform Support Analysts in evaluating, deploying, and maintaining network applications, operating systems, and Fourteen Foods’ intranet in accordance with the organization’s security and change management policies. Collaboration with the Infrastructure and Executive teams is expected for maintaining and supporting the organization’s Virtual Infrastructure, SAN storage system, and Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environments. The position provides and assists with troubleshooting of local PC desktop applications, telephony systems including VOIP devices and associated telephony applications, cellular phones and portable electronic devices, hardware, and peripherals. Additionally, the Network Systems Administrator participates in planning and executing disaster recovery plan tests as a member of the Technical Recovery team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other IT-related degree, or equivalent work experience may substitute, especially if combined with certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid administrator, Power Platform disciplines, Microsoft 365 Specialties).
  • 4+ years related experience preferred with administering network servers and associated applications.
  • Awareness of Information Technology Security practices and methods.
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining VOIP telephone systems (e.g., Cisco, ShoreTel, Mitel, Avaya).
  • Proven knowledge and experience managing Windows PCs, Servers, and providing mobile workstation/device support in a multiprotocol environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn to support new networking hardware and software.
  • Ability to quickly identify technology-related issues, determine root cause, identify solutions, and implement fixes quickly and effectively for complex and abstract issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and professionally to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality of information and job-related data.

  • Experience with incident ticket tracking systems and ITIL v4 framework.
  • Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting, repair, and provisioning IT hardware.
  • Experience in working with geographically disbursed remote users and offices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, asset tracking systems, and purchasing platforms.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in administration of LAN and WAN environments, various Windows Server Operating System versions, MS SQL, and MS Exchange Server and application support.
  • Security and PCI experience.
  • Information Technology Project Management experience.
  • Fortinet/Cisco Network Systems deployment and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems.
  • Assists the Network Security Engineer in maintaining network and network security infrastructure.
  • Assists in evaluating, deploying, and maintaining network applications, operating systems, and intranet.
  • Collaborates with Infrastructure and Executive teams in maintaining and supporting Virtual Infrastructure, SAN storage, Microsoft Active Directory, and Exchange environments.
  • Provides and assists with troubleshooting of local PC desktop applications, telephony systems (including VOIP devices), cellular phones, portable electronic devices, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Participates in planning and executing disaster recovery plan tests.
  • Responds to network system or appliance issues 24/7/365.
  • Participates in an IT scheduled rotational "on-call" role.
