About The Position

Core Government Services is searching for a Systems Administrator to join our team at the Fort Bragg Mission Training Center. Applicants must have an active Secret, or higher, U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

Requirements

Active Security Clearance
Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD IAT II / DOD 8140 Certification. (CompTIA SEC+, CASP, etc.)
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel
Must possess a valid REAL ID, State Driver's License and maintain Fort Bragg driving privileges
Associate degree or 4 years network / system administration experience.
1-3 years experience (for AA degree holders)
1 year VMWare experience
1 year Linux experience

Responsibilities

Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
Installs and configures network hardware and software. Provides network troubleshooting and support
Provides technical support and training to end-users
Administers network security
Backs up file server data/disks
Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
