About The Position

This entry-level position focuses on providing essential network support within the organization. The role involves a blend of technical troubleshooting, customer service, and system administration, with a particular emphasis on cloud environments and network fundamentals. The specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across various hardware and software platforms, supporting end-users, and contributing to the daily upkeep of IT systems.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with server, client, and cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.
  • Willingness to learn specialized in-house software.
  • Technical School Diploma or College degree.
  • 1-2 years of network support experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD.
  • Proficiency in navigating, deploying, and triaging of Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of basic networking protocols, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting end-users and non-human devices with remote connectivity software.
  • Familiarity with best practices surrounding threat detection software, multi-factor authentication, methods for identifying and reporting potential threats, and resilience against social engineering.
  • A+, Network +, MCP or related certification is desirable.
  • Background in medical, clinical or diagnostic environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical concepts into clear instructions for end-users and clients with patience and empathy.
  • Diagnose and resolve or escalate hardware and software issues across computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Manage users, groups, and mailboxes in cloud environments like Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
  • Navigate, deploy, and triage Windows operating systems.
  • Perform daily upkeep of users and groups within Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Diagnose and maintain devices using basic networking protocols, IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Support end-users and non-human devices using remote connectivity software.
  • Maintain awareness of cybersecurity best practices, including threat detection, multi-factor authentication, and social engineering resilience.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned.
