About The Position

This entry-level Network Support Specialist role focuses on providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for end-users and clients. The position requires strong customer service and communication skills to translate technical issues into understandable terms. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems across various devices, managing cloud services like Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive, and supporting Windows operating systems. A solid understanding of Active Directory, basic networking protocols (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP), and remote support tools is essential. The role also emphasizes cybersecurity awareness, including threat detection and multi-factor authentication.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with server, client, and cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.
  • Willingness to learn specialized in-house software.
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 5 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School Diploma or College degree.
  • A+, Network +, MCP or related certification is desirable.
  • 1-2 years of network support experience preferred.
  • Background in medical, clinical or diagnostic environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical concepts and terms into clear instructions for end-users and clients with patience and empathy.
  • Diagnose and resolve or escalate reported issues across all computers, printers, mobile devices, and associated peripherals.
  • Manage cloud computing services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure AD, including user and group management.
  • Navigate, deploy, and triage Windows operating systems.
  • Perform daily upkeep of users, groups, and objects within Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Diagnose and maintain devices relying on basic networking protocols, IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Support end-users and non-human devices using remote connectivity software.
  • Apply best practices for threat detection software, multi-factor authentication, identifying and reporting potential threats, and social engineering resilience.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned.
