About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions, with a primary focus on Palo Alto Firewalls and GlobalProtect VPN. You will also be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Cisco LAN switching and routing, monitoring security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and migrations, as well as maintaining network documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any stream
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS)
- Expertise in GlobalProtect VPN configuration and support
- Solid knowledge of Cisco switching and routing
- Experience with LAN technologies (VLANs, Trunking, STP)
- Understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Familiarity with SD-WAN concepts and solutions
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Good understanding of network security principles and best practices
Nice To Haves
- Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA / PCNSE)
- Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP)
- Experience in enterprise or multi-site network environments
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS / Azure) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions using Palo Alto Firewalls
- Configure and support GlobalProtect VPN for secure remote access
- Manage and troubleshoot Cisco LAN switching and routing (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security incidents
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and security profiles
- Support SD-WAN deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and migrations
- Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
- Perform network segmentation implementation
- Perform EOL Switch replacements
