About The Position

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team at Blossom Point Tracking Facility (BPTF) in Welcome, MD. The Network Security Engineer shall provide technical engineering with a focus on security in all phases of network design, development, operation and management. This role involves assisting with the integration of new missions into the Blossom Point baseline by planning and executing communication solutions, resolving issues, and adding new capabilities to the infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with Project Managers to define required external communications for new projects and work with the Cyber security team to determine the security posture of all network devices. Responsibilities also include assisting with scans, patches, and testing, as well as RMF drawings and documentation. The role requires creating and updating communications diagrams, flow charts, and other documentation, and working with on-site System Administrators to integrate new equipment onto networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in Network engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum Interim Secret clearance to start.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Security+ certification highly desired.
  • Cisco Network certifications highly desired.
