About The Position

The Network Planning Manager (NPM) supports the Brita Business Unit (BU) by conducting medium-term (3-24 months) supply planning and supply matching analysis, identifying key tradeoffs and framing potential strategies to achieve long-term business objectives. In addition to Network Planning, they provide strategic thought leadership and own the long-term supply sufficiency process, driving cross-functional collaboration and managing budgets within financial cycles. This role will also serve as the on-site liaison for the Brita IBP team, facilitating communication, coordination, and engagement across the team as well as acting in a mentorship capacity - providing guidance, trouble-shooting support, and thought-leadership for the other members of the team.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Supply Chain or Predictive Analytics
  • 10+ yrs industry experience, CPG / fast moving consumer preferred
  • Recent S&OP / supply planning experience
  • Operational experience in supply chain operations (e.g. manufacturing, logistics, DC ops, inventory planning)
  • Experience using advanced planning software tools including ERP / supply planning tools, with preference for Kinaxis & SAP S4Hana & NetSuite
  • Experience interfacing and influencing across multiple functions
  • Strategic Thinking: Develop forward-looking business strategies from diverse data.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage working capital and P&L impacts of supply chain decisions.
  • Data Mastery: Build inventory strategies, understand capacity constraints, diagnose bottlenecks, and analyze trends.

Responsibilities

  • Defines inventory policy and working capital requirements through end-to-end capacity planning over planning horizon, rough cut capacity planning during S&OP cycles, and scenario planning
  • Rebuild a robust process to monitor and facilitate lifecycle and portfolio management, including innovation, discontinuations, and managing against D&D targets and Financial Budgets, in coordination with Finance and Supply Chain resources.
  • Owns medium term supply plan based on demand forecast, network capacity, and strategic inventory decisions
  • Plans against demand scenarios, highlighting risk and opportunities, capacity tradeoffs, and P&L implications
  • Develops supply narrative to communicate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Enhance current reporting and analysis capabilities through utilization of data, visualization and AI with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Monitors and adjust constraints throughout planning cycle to ensure accuracy in plan
  • Responsible for reviewing KPIs and plan performance, identifying root cause if we are off-track and recommending corrective actions as necessary
  • Assesses network bottlenecks and options to resolve (capacity, inventory policy, network design) in a long-lead time business with unique challenges of an international supply chain.
  • Coordinate supply planning efforts for multiple new adjacency launches within the next few fiscal years.
  • Strengthen the Brita IBP team, providing valuable thought leadership, mentorship, and serving as a delegate of the IBP Lead for Leadership team meetings, as needed.
  • Maintains close contact with S&OE Manager & Inventory Planner to understand the impact of short-term issues that could create risk to long-term supply plan
  • Acts as primary IBP commercialization lead for the Supply Chain Squad and Innovation teams, to ensure end-to-end business decision making and execution.
  • Communicates proactively to understand key supply plan inputs (marketing, sales, finance) to improve quality of plans
  • Actively fosters and contributes to community of like-practitioners
  • Coaches and develops IBP team / commercialization project teams indirectly to upskill teammates
  • Develops and owns assumptions for business budget processes, including sourcing plans, inventory targets, plant production and warehousing requirements for each budget cycle
