The Network Optimization Manager is responsible for leading the analysis, modeling, and execution of supply chain network optimization initiatives that improve cost, service, capacity utilization, and operational flexibility. This role leverages advanced analytics and optimization technologies to evaluate manufacturing, distribution, inventory, sourcing, and transportation networks, generating insights that support strategic business decisions. As the network optimization lead for a portfolio of product categories (e.g., Pretzels, Chips, Sauce, Frozen, Fresh Bakery), this role owns the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of category-specific supply chain models. The Manager partners closely with Supply Chain Category Leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, assess future network needs, and inform mid- and long-term supply chain strategies through data-driven scenario analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Analytics, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, network optimization, operations research, manufacturing, logistics, or other related analytical roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with supply chain network modeling and optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with network design tools such as Supply Chain Guru (Llamasoft/Coupa), Optilogic, Lyric, AIMMS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business case development capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting network redesign, supply chain transformation, or capital investment programs.
  • Knowledge of SAP, planning systems, and digital twin technologies.
  • Experience within consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, manufacturing, or distribution-intensive industries.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain network optimization models for 3-5 product categories, including current-state and future-state across manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and transportation networks.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Category Leadership to develop mid- and long-term supply chain strategies by evaluating growth opportunities, demand scenarios, capacity requirements, asset utilization, sourcing alternatives, and network investment decisions.
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead network optimization initiatives that improve cost, service, resiliency, asset productivity, and capital efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain category network models to evaluate strategic alternatives and quantify trade-offs across cost, service, utilization, risk, and capital requirements.
  • Perform scenario, sensitivity, and capacity analyses to support network design, investment decisions, and long-range planning.
  • Validate model assumptions, inputs, and outputs to ensure analytical rigor and credibility.
  • Lead multiple network optimization initiatives, managing project plans, milestones, stakeholder engagement, and deliverables.
  • Partner with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Commercial teams to develop integrated network and capacity plans.
  • Partner with finance on business cases and financial analyses to support capital investments, asset strategies, and network transformation initiatives.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations and executive-level presentations.
  • Serve as a functional expert for network optimization methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Establish modeling standards, governance processes, and knowledge-sharing practices.
  • Continuously enhance organizational network optimization capabilities through technology advancement, process improvement, and best-practice adoption.
