About The Position

Empower AI is seeking a Network Operations Lead for an exciting opportunity at the Department of State. This role is responsible for the implementation and evolution of the network and supporting systems for the customer's global network infrastructure. The position involves high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development across various network types (LAN, WAN, CAN, VLAN). The lead will manage a team of network operations engineers and analysts, ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing enterprise architecture deliverables. This role requires applying advanced business and technical principles to solve complex problems and recommending network solutions to management. Responsibilities also include researching, evaluating, and documenting new products and tools, serving as a troubleshooter for complex network issues (Tier 2 and all priority incident tickets), performing engineering and security design for Unified Communications Systems, researching and approving hardware/software solutions, and executing complex implementation plans for network/system upgrades.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• CCNP Certification
• Secret Security Clearance

• CCIE Certification

Responsibilities

• Participate in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development across the global network (LAN, WAN, CAN, VLAN).
• Lead a group of network operations engineers and analysts and ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews enterprise architecture deliverables.
• Apply high-level business and technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions.
• Make recommendations to management on desirable network solutions and opportunities.
• Research, evaluate and document new products and tools.
• Serve as a troubleshooter on complex network problems on all Tier 2 and incident tickets of all priorities.
• Perform complex engineering, security design, implementation and maintenance tasks on Unified Communications Systems.
• Research, evaluate and approve hardware and software solutions for complex problems and solutions.
• Execute complex implementation plans for network/system upgrades.
