•$109,000 - $251,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Network Operations Cloud Engineer to operate and improve secure, mission-critical private-cloud infrastructure supporting essential customer operations. The role focuses on network availability, resilience, and security across classified and non-classified environments, including secure data centers and disconnected cloud environments. The position is designated remote/teleworker, with primarily home-based work and a flexible hybrid requirement to work onsite at a federal customer or HPE location as mission needs require. Candidates may reside in Alabama, Maryland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, or Utah. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required at application, and the employee must maintain the clearance and obtain customer-specific access. Travel is required when needed. The engineer will bring strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking skills, secure-infrastructure experience, disciplined IT service management, clear documentation, and ownership in customer-facing situations. The role includes operating and troubleshooting networks and private-cloud connectivity, executing approved changes through ServiceNow, collaborating with cloud and infrastructure teams, maintaining audit-ready security evidence, and improving service reliability through standardization, automation, knowledge sharing, and problem management. The position participates in an on-call rotation and may require evening, weekend, or maintenance-window support when mission requirements demand it. The expected annual base salary range is USD 109,000–251,000 for Alabama, Maryland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Utah. Actual offers may vary based on location, experience, education/training, and skill level; variable incentives may also be offered. HPE describes benefits supporting physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing, as well as personal and professional development programs.
