The Network Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical expertise for the design and implementation of structured cabling systems, including Category 6A, fiber optic, and specialty communications infrastructure. This role involves reviewing architectural, electrical, telecommunications, and low-voltage construction documents for compliance with ASU standards and industry best practices. The engineer will support various project phases, including programming, schematic design, design development, and construction, for both capital improvement and tenant improvement projects. Responsibilities include participating in project meetings, performing field assessments and site surveys, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, and conducting construction quality assurance inspections. The role also supports campus fiber optic infrastructure planning, maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with Enterprise Technology teams. Additionally, the engineer will support modernization, renovation, and infrastructure upgrade projects, as well as the commissioning and turnover of telecommunications and network infrastructure systems.
