SUMMARY Maintain, operate, and automate legacy IaaS hardware footprint located at Langley AFB as well as modern AWS infrastructure.

Requirements

  • DoD 8570 Level 2
  • Five-plus (5+) years of demonstrated experience designing large scale, enterprise networks.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience working with cloud and containerized environments.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience with agile methodologies and lean software development practices.
  • Five-plus (5+) years experience with the following:
  • Various long-haul circuit technologies (TDM, MetroEthernet, MPLS, etc.)
  • Encryption and VPN (DMVPN, etc.)
  • SDN (Cisco ACI, Juniper Contrail, etc.)
  • Cloud/hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Network monitoring tools (CruzOC, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.)
  • Five-plus (5+) years experience with networking security principles.
  • Five-plus (5+) years designing secure networks, systems and application architectures.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods.
  • Resume has at least three (3+) or more examples of successfully troubleshooting large-scale cloud, hybrid and on-premise network systems

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.
  • Provide network systems analysis, network engineering, and network security
  • Provide technical inputs and evaluation of all aspects of networking, including software and hardware and critical interface issues.
  • Provide network analysis of the reliability and availability of systems, evaluating network and information systems methodologies and conducting performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems. Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
  • Designs, builds, and implements network systems.
  • Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
  • Configuring routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Managing and administering firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.).
  • Administering and securing wireless networks.
  • Designing, implementing, and monitoring secure networks to meet the needs of KR employees and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and defining network requirements (high availability, redundancy, security, etc.).
  • Collaborating with various other teams and organizations to support KR applications and services.
  • Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting.
  • Provides strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.
