About The Position

This is a full-time, exempt position with a compensation range of $66,851.20 to $100,256.00 yearly salary, paid bi-weekly. The role involves installing, supporting, and maintaining hardware and software infrastructure, diagnosing and solving network issues, and ensuring network and host-based security. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for developing network documentation, monitoring network usage, assisting with server and host deployment, and collaborating with team members to implement solutions. This position requires rapid response to emergency situations, including on-call coverage, and collaboration with the Telephony Engineer for the Cisco phone system. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the SNMP Dashboard and assisting with Help Desk tickets as needed. The position also requires commitment to organizational values, effective communication, adherence to policies, initiative, productivity, timely completion of duties, participation in meetings, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must successfully pass a background check.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
Two (2) years of expertise implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including but not limited to: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Cisco Certification or equivalent work experience
Current CompTIA Certification.
Experienced in clinical systems implementations and support, including system configuration, custom development, maintenance, and software upgrades.

Responsibilities

Installs, supports, and maintains hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, aggregators, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls.
Diagnoses problems and solves issues, often under time constraints.
Provides network and host-based security, incident response, firewall, and VPN management and administration.
Implements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modifications, disclosure, or destruction.
Develops, maintains, and provides network documentation.
Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible attacks or intrusions.
Monitors network usage, anticipates problems, and suggests solutions.
Assists in the deployment and maintenance of Windows, servers, and hosts.
Works closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.
Works with other members of the team to implement solutions to system-related problems to minimize operational impact.
Rapidly responds to emergency situations, including direct response or on-call coverage, both during and outside of normal business hours.
Works with the Telephony Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Cisco phone system.
Keeps the SNMP Dashboard accurate.
Assists with Help Desk tickets as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
