About The Position

The Network Engineer will perform network services from network design through implementation, maintenance and upgrading of existing networks. They will analyze design, specifications and related documents. Perform general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedule conversions and cutovers. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Translate business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, design and orders. Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement designs for medium and large-scale telecommunicator infrastructures. Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.

Requirements

  • Experience with Arista, Cisco, and VMWare
  • Strong Networking experience
  • Some knowledge of NSX, willing to learn more in the future
  • At least ten (10) years experience as a Network Engineer
  • A Masters's degree in a related field. In lieu of a Masters degree, a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two (2) additional years of experience for a total of twelve (12) years may be substituted.

  • Assist telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces
  • In downtime, must be willing to flex and do other tasking
