About The Position

The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems. This role involves the installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure. The position requires a thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security. Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. (CNI) is a holding company with multiple subsidiaries serving the federal government and commercial enterprises in various sectors. A portion of CNI's profits supports Chickasaw citizens, contributing to the economic development and long-term viability of the Chickasaw Nation and its people. This position is contingent upon award or funding, with an initial term of two months and potential for continued employment based on future contract opportunities and funding. CNI is a federal contractor and a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.
Ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Top Secret level.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and four to eight (4-8) years related experience.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems.
Installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure.
Administers and maintains computer networks and related computing environments.
Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop basic network solutions.
Troubleshoots and resolves moderate network issues independently.
Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups.
Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency.
Analyzes and evaluates networks, identifies issues and provides solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
