MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas: Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including load balancers, routers, switches, firewalls, and networks Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability Coordinates hardware and software acquisition Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Create and maintain documentation of networking processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with network and firewall solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, F5, and/or Palo Alto
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
