About The Position

The role will require: Installation, configuration, and onboarding of VERSA devices, Aruba wireless APs, and network switches. Execution of end-to-end site migrations to DoDNet, including cutover support. Troubleshooting and remediation activities in coordination with the Thunderdome, Network Operations, and Migration teams. Hands-on support during pre-migration, migration, and post-migration validation activities. This role requires personnel with hands-on experience installing network hardware and performing network migration, configuration, and onboarding activities. Candidates must be comfortable working with Aruba wireless access points, Cisco switches, and Versa networking devices in an enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • Cisco enterprise switch configuration and troubleshooting
  • VLAN creation and management
  • 802.1Q trunking
  • 802.1X (DOT1x) authentication
  • AAA configuration (RADIUS / TACACS+)
  • Aruba wireless access point installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Versa networking device installation, configuration, onboarding, and validation
  • End‑to‑end enterprise network migrations (DoDNet / DoD environments)
  • Hands‑on site cutovers and migration support
  • Basic to intermediate routing and switching fundamentals
  • IP networking principles
  • Network access control concepts
  • Ability to read and execute network diagrams, installation plans, and migration runbooks
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards and labeling practices
  • Basic understanding of routing, switching, and access control concepts
  • Network device onboarding and validation

Nice To Haves

  • Rack and stack of network equipment
  • Fiber and copper cable installation and termination
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Junos Space)
