About The Position
This position requires a background in the administration of LANs, WANs, and remote networks including working knowledge of network hardware, software, protocols, and network security. This position will be part of a team performing network management and support services on Solaris 11, Debian Linux, Juniper, Cisco, Mikrotik and ADTRAN.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of network hardware, software, protocols, and network security.
- Experience with Solaris 11, Debian Linux, Juniper, Cisco, Mikrotik and ADTRAN.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
Nice To Haves
- Juniper experience is Preferred
- Service Provider Environment experience
Responsibilities
- Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, system and key processes, review system and application logs, verify completion of scheduled jobs including backups
- Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure/add new services as necessary
- Maintain operational configurations and procedures
