CACI is looking for a Network Engineer to support a United States Hospital Ship. This opportunity requires some travel. The Network engineer shall possess or be able to gain either a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License or FCC Technician Class Amateur Radio License at the time of contract award. Higher levels (for example Amateur Extra) will meet this requirement. A copy of the license shall be given to hospital staff upon award. Must be capable of working independently in uniquely challenging conditions while onboard a hospital ship. This position requires fast paced development of solutions to solve real world life altering problems around the globe. The work performed in this position will change people’s lives. The on-site Network Engineer will ensure the optimal operation of the existing network system onboard. Services to be provided include technical support of multiple security enclaves consisting of technologies such as: Cisco routing & switching, network security systems, SATCOM connectivity fundamentals and troubleshooting, firewall, VoIP, and Wi-Fi equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, Forescout, Nutanix Acropolis, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 11 PCs, and Medical Device interconnectivity. At the direction of MTF IT Director, be able to perform work in various IT specific capacities, in support of other divisions, performing direct Mission support outside of the position specific role. Position will deploy/embark aboard the hospital ship for assigned Missions and out-of-state Shipyard periods. Contractor must maintain the ability to be deployable with the ship as embedded contractor support staff for that duration.
